We Believe Doing Good Is Good Business

NRAS is a perfect example of being able to do some good for the community whilst helping your business and ours. We will be announcing plans soon about other Doing Good projects we are getting involved in but for now we are very happy with what we are doing via NRAS.According to a recent release from Minister for Housing and Homelessness Brendan O’Connor:

More than 8,600 affordable rental homes have been built across the nation under NRAS – with about 1,150 of them in South Australia.

“We know that housing affordability is a major concern for many households, including here in South Australia,” Mr O’Connor said.

“That’s why the Government has invested a record $20 billion in housing and homelessness programs since 2008.

“Today’s report confirms that we are continuing to help make rental accommodation more affordable for Australians on low and moderate incomes.

“More than 4,700 new homes – including 530 in South Australia – were built under NRAS during the last financial year, and over 31,000 more are in the pipeline.

NRAS, delivered in partnership with the States and Territories, will provide 50,000 new rental homes, increasing the supply of more affordable private rental housing and reducing rental costs for low and moderate income households by encouraging private investment in innovative affordable housing.

“These new homes will not only benefit the people living in them, they also play an important role in freeing up other rental properties so that they can be made available to other Australians on low and moderate incomes.”

South Australia has received approximately 2,400 of these new incentives.
